The Julie Elcock shield. The 2009 season saw the most successful season so far that the club has experienced with 18 teams from 25 making it to the Semi finals and of those 18 teams, 7 teams contended the Grand Final and 6 of those teams won their Grand Final Match. Well done on an excellent effort!

However, we have also seen a tragic loss when Mrs Julie Elcock lost her 3 year battle with Breast Cancer and passed away in August 2009. Julie is survived by her husband Stephen Elcock (MJSC Treasurer) and her two children, Melissa and Troy. Julie will be sadly missed by us all.

The committee have decided to dedicate a special award in memory of Julie, "The Julie Elcock Shield" that will be awarded each season to "The team of the year".

The shield will be decided by the committee and awarded to the team that actively practice the following characteristics of Sportsmanship, Discipline, Camaraderie, Leadership and Courage. Characteristics that Julie displayed all of her life.

This year the Julie Elcock Shield is awarded to the Under 13 Div 2 team and was jointly accepted by Stephen Elcock (U13/2 Manager) and Troy Elcock (U13/2 Goal Keeper). Congratulations and well done!

Coaches and Managers Our monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise advised) starting at 7:30pm at the club canteen.

Please have at least one representative from each team available for the meeting.

Over 35 Buffers The Over 35 Buffers have been playing in Minchinbury for over 12 years. They participate in a "Buffers" competition in Blacktown and all over Australia and are quite an accomplished team.

2010 Season Registration

It starts this weekend!!! The 2010 soccer season kicksoff in March 2010. A few changes come into effect this year and we can now Debit Card, Visa or Mastercard - We even accept cash!

Registrations for Season 2010 will be held at:

Minchinbury Shopping Centre

Saturday 30th January, 6th February, 13th February and 20th February
from 9am to 2pm

and Thursday 4th February, 11th February & 18th February
from 6pm to 8pm

Canteen Roster
Get the roster here

Each team listed in the roster, is asked to supply approximately 3 people to serve in the canteen and 1 - 2 people for the BBQ.
Managers please arrange your team members at training to do their roster.
